Hey there, remember me?

Mon Jun 15, 2009, 1:49 PM
I've been lazy as hell about art for the past couple months so I haven't been around here much at all. Trying to get back into the swing of things though.

So life, it's been the usual. Another pretty easy semester went by, and I've been on break for a couple weeks. Still no summer job to speak of and it doesn't look like I'll be traveling anywhere so I guess I'll just chill and try to really focus on my art this summer. I'll need to because I'm starting the studio sequence in architecture next semester and I don't want to be all rusty.

As for hobbies, I've been enjoying the One Piece character tournament at Arlong Park Forums a lot. I'll probably put some of the campaign images I've made for the matches up here at some point.

Oh yeah, speaking of One Piece if you haven't watched episode 405 yet, do not attempt to do so without tissues handy, maybe a whole box. I knew what was going to happen and I still felt like I died a little inside.

Also, looks like the simulcast that Funimation was planning fell through due to a leak. Thanks whoever that was. Considering it's not on American television anymore, this was just about the next best thing. I'm hearing that it should be back up eventually though so I'm staying positive.

Still enjoying Dragonball Kai even though people have had their complaints. Some of the violence edits were a little bothersome, but other than that things have been good. I'm getting used to the music, but I still think they use too much of it and not enough silence.

I'm also really pumped for the new Dragonball game for the Wii. That's right, not DBZ fighting video game number 9001, an actual action/adventure game covering the original Dragonball story through the King Piccolo arc. The graphics have captured the style of the original manga beautifully and the gameplay looks pretty much like Advanced Adventure which is totally cool with me. That'll be good times...

So, I notice a lot of people have been asking about commissions so I'll just give everyone a breakdown of the prices and whatnot. Again, I'll draw pretty much anything you'd like as long as you can provide a reference and it's not of a pornographic nature.

pencil sketch - $15
full colored picture - $25
additional $5 for every character more than four characters (doesn't apply to sketch)
$5 more if you would like the original drawing mailed to you.

Preferred payment method is paypal. Hope this helps.

So I hope you don't mind me asking but I found this Japanese site for a game called The Last Rebellion from Square Enix. The site doesn't have much but right when you load it a theme song for the the game is played.

To me it sounds ALOT like something from Hronobu Kageyama. Check it out for yourself, if you want.

I can't find any credits for the theme. I think the game was just recently announced... So what do you think?
