I love how traditional art has next to no subcategories for you to have to mess with.... anyway, my fourth otakon piece! Isn't it pretty? Most of the time I'm not satisfied with my work but with this one, I have a hard time believing I actually colored it.

This is done in colored pencil with a basically unidirectional coloring style. This is actually a remake of a pic I drew a long time ago as sort of a chapter page for my comic but I added a couple of things and now it looks even hotter.... And those mountains originally were inspired by my trip to Kyoto where they just have the most beautiful tree covered mountains, well all over japan in general. It's one of those images that actually manages to stick in my mind. Anyway, this totally reminds me of like lone wolf and cub (a great comic!) except not half as tragic or serious. It also reminds me that I really like Gohan and I sure as hell don't draw enough of him....or Piccolo...or Kuririn....or....a bunch of people....

I love the serene quality of this picture. The pastel colors are so bright and cheery, it's a real pleasure to look upon this. Gohan is absolutely adorable, though I'm amazed he stays in place in that sort-of-backpack : D Great perspective. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you colored that dragon radar. This is truly AnnouncerGuy at her finest!
