Okay, this is kind of sloppy but the idea kind of sprang on me so I just....yeah, here it is. I'm probably one of the only people who actually appreciates Big O though so next time I'll keep this kind of thing to myself. I kinda tried to use Big O colors.....dull, lots of gray and black. Roger Smith and R. Dorothy are the shiznat! Well if you don't like Big O, I'm sure most people will appreciate the Evangelion aspect. Forgive my lack of skill in drawing mecha.....
big o was confusing. then again i saw it dubbed on cartoon network about halfway into the season -.- it was pretty cool nonetheless, though.. with the big guy smashing things and all -__-
Big O is the world's best television show. EVER. No one shall ever change my opinion on that. Now I don't know alot about Evangelion, from reading show sypnosis' and seeing only 3 episodes, but seeing Rei call up an Eva Roger Smith style just rocks.
Ohohoohho. XD Combining my two favorite mecha shows into one glorious scene, huh?
(Frankly I cannot HELP but notice many neat similarities between both series. The mecha battles and everything in between almost always take place in the same city. The mechas themselves are not quite what you think they are - they're certainly not just some dumb ol' human-built machines like, say Gundams. And best of all we see, little by little, that these battles are really a string of 'prophecies' that culminate in a cataclysmic, pre-destined finale that wipes everybody out.
And strangely enough, the End Of The World looks like an empty studio in both cases) ^^
But that's just me. I really enjoy anime that requires multiple viewings and really forces you to think. The Big O definitely had a lot of that (the art-deco-Batman style underscores the notion that you should be paying attention to something other than the visuals in the show). Did I mention Schwarzwald's words hold special meaning for me? I can relate to some of his philosophical views on the world as we know it. @.@
And on top of all that, it's just a funny-fun crossover. Rei acting all showy, yelling Roger's catchphrases and striking his comic hero poses (something Shinji would have to whine about). I just don't see him being cast as The Negotiator. Oh wait, I DO see him screaming if his entry plug suddenly filled up with tomatoes! XÐ

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
