This was something I actually did get done at the University. I was up late keeping a friend company while she worked on a project and another friend made one of these things and showed it to me. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and she said she had gotten the idea from others on DA so I just had to make some of my own. It was a lot of fun coming up with different children and ways to carry them, I even gave them names and ages. I made eight because for some strange reason I always had it in my mind that I will have eight children (probably never gonna happen).
Apparently that would make me a huge slut too, look at all the different hair colors on these children.... A lot of these names I came up with at he last second, but Blues, Rock, and Roll are named for the three robotic siblings from the Rockman/Megaman series which are obviously musical names. Since Reggae and Rock are twins, I thought she should have a musical name too. The rest are pretty random. In terms of ages....Blues 12, Andromeda 10, Monkey 9, Spiro 8, Brunhilda 6, Rock and Reggae 4, and Roll 1. Haha, I know I put wahaaaaay too much thought into these.
I know I'm not the best photographer so please forgive some inconsistency with scaling and off centeredness. I really like drawing children because I think it suits my style. I'm not very good at making more mature looking faces or features. Blues is probably my favorite here, not surprising, in a series I always tend to like the one I started with.
That's really cool! It reminds me of something Dali did with a full-size painting of a girl looking out of a "window", which was painted on the wall. It was really cool how 2-D interacted with the 3-D world, especially when there was a guy standing right by the painted girl. The play on 2-D and 3-D here is in the same vein. Nice job, and happy new year!
