This is what happens when I actually try to spend some time on a CG: I screw up! It started out okay, but when I started putting in the background and bushes and stuff it all began to look awkward. The drawing itself wasn't even that good so I couldn't save it..... Some tips would be nice if anyone has any....

That's a pretty novel and quite excellent take on it even if you want to put it down yourself (probably not quite what you expected to create, i'm guessing). Like some kind of intricate graffiti mural or the like. Also I think you're channelling Otomo a bit there, she does have a hint of the Kaneeedaaaaaa (or maybe Testuoooo depending on which you prefer to shout :-)) about the face and the stance ... though characterwise there's probably a fair bit of shared DNA so it's valid! :D

Oh Mononoke is my favorite movie from Hayao Mizaki's work. It's a tremedous work filled we creatures and spirit we nvr could have dream of. Wow I really love San's pose, and it would be cool if Ashitaka was there too. The wolves behind her symbolize her courage and pride or her clan.wow I really love this pic.
