Even though I've mostly been practicing my digital art skills with my newly acquired tablet, I did a bit of traditional art on the side in watercolor. I'm definitely not great in this medium but this pic only started out as a way for me to remember how to draw my characters and what colors they were so I wasn't trying all that hard. The paper was super wrinkly afterwards so I flattened it with a huge biology book that I left on top of it all day. This actually worked pretty well and I barely notice the wrinkles in the scan.
So these are the characters from the various series that I planned over the years just so you know that there have been times...when I attempted to be original, even if my style still reeks of Ghibli and Toriyama. I'm very attached to all of them even though they're not very inventive because I think some of these ideas go back at least 4 years. Some characters took an extremely long time to perfect, especially the older ones...from when I sucked at drawing... Anyway, these bring back a lot of memories...I still plan on going somewhere with these stories though! really!
When people create a character and put so much story and background to them, it is just such a wonderful thing.
